Glenohumeral syndrome

Glenohumeral syndrome refers to conditions or disorders affecting the glenohumeral joint, which is the main joint of the shoulder between the glenoid cavity of the scapula and the head of the humerus. It may include instability, inflammation, injuries, or degenerative changes of the joint structures. Symptoms usually include shoulder pain, restricted movement, a feeling of instability, or difficulty performing daily activities. Diagnosis is made through clinical examination and, when necessary, imaging studies. Treatment may include physiotherapy, strengthening of the shoulder muscles, medication, or surgical intervention depending on the underlying cause.
