Posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) strain

An injury of the posterior cruciate ligament of the knee, usually caused by excessive force or twisting. It leads to pain, instability, and restricted movement. Depending on the severity, conservative or surgical treatment may be required. Rehabilitation includes physiotherapy to restore joint stability.
