Xiphoid region

The xiphoid region is the anatomical area surrounding the xiphoid process of the sternum. It includes muscular and ligament attachments. It is sensitive to trauma and pressure. It serves as a clinical reference point. Examination of this area helps in the diagnosis of chest pain.
