Spinal fusion

Spinal fusion is a surgical procedure in which two or more vertebrae are permanently joined together, usually using bone grafts and implants. The goal is to eliminate abnormal movement between the vertebrae. It is used in cases of instability, degenerative changes, or deformities of the spine. It helps reduce pain and improve stability, but limits movement in the affected segment.
