Vertebral edema

Vertebral edema is a pathological condition characterized by increased fluid accumulation within the vertebral bodies of the spine. It is usually associated with trauma, degenerative changes, or inflammatory diseases. It may cause back pain, stiffness, and reduced mobility. Diagnosis is mainly made with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), while treatment depends on the underlying cause and may include rest, medication, or physiotherapy. In more severe cases, specialized medical intervention may be required.
