Calcaneal valgus

Calcaneal valgus is a deformity of the posterior part of the foot in which the heel deviates outward in relation to the axis of the lower limb. This condition is often associated with flatfoot and may affect gait mechanics and the proper distribution of loads within the foot. It may develop during growth, due to musculoskeletal imbalances, or following injuries. Assessment is performed through clinical examination of the foot's posture and movement. Treatment may include specific exercises, orthotic insoles, physiotherapy, or other interventions depending on the severity of the condition.
