Biomechanical stress

Biomechanical stress refers to the forces and mechanical loads exerted on the body's tissues during the performance of movements or activities. It is caused by repetitive movements, excessive loading, improper technique, or inadequate recovery. Increased stress can lead to micro-injuries, inflammation, and dysfunctions in muscles, tendons, ligaments, or joints. Its assessment helps prevent injuries and improve movement performance. Management includes proper training, ergonomic adjustments, and appropriate rehabilitation programs.
