Tendon calcification

Tendon calcification is the deposition of calcium salts within a tendon, usually due to chronic strain or degenerative changes. It causes pain and limited movement, especially in areas such as the shoulder. It may be asymptomatic or present with severe episodes of pain. Treatment includes conservative or interventional methods.
