Valgus deformity

Valgus deformity is a deformity or deviation of a bone or joint in which the distal part of the limb deviates outward in relation to the central axis of the body. It may occur in various joints, such as the knee, ankle, or the great toe of the foot. This condition can affect movement mechanics, stability, and load distribution within the joints. Its causes include developmental factors, injuries, or degenerative changes. Treatment depends on the degree of deformity and may include exercises, orthotic devices, or surgical correction in severe cases.
