Biceps brachii tendinopathy
This is a disorder of the biceps brachii tendon, usually located in the shoulder region. It presents with pain in the anterior aspect of the shoulder, especially during arm elevation or flexion. It is often associated with overuse, degenerative changes, or coexisting rotator cuff injuries. In advanced cases, it may lead to partial or complete rupture. Treatment initially starts conservatively and only rarely requires surgical intervention.
