Supraspinatus tendinopathy

Supraspinatus tendinopathy is one of the most common causes of shoulder pain. It is due to chronic overuse and is often associated with subacromial impingement syndrome. The patient experiences pain during arm elevation and may also have night pain. In advanced stages, it can progress to a tendon tear. Treatment includes physiotherapy, medication, and in some cases surgery.
