Superficial bursitis

Superficial bursitis is inflammation of a superficial synovial bursa located near joints and bones. It is usually caused by repetitive pressure, minor trauma, or infection. It presents with pain, swelling, and local tenderness. Common locations include the elbow and the knee. Treatment includes rest, anti-inflammatory medication, and in some cases drainage.
