Scapular impingement

Scapular impingement occurs when muscles or tendons are compressed between the scapula and the humerus during arm elevation. It causes pain when moving the arm above shoulder height and can lead to inflammation or thickening of the soft tissues. This condition may significantly limit the range of motion. Treatment includes physical therapy, anti-inflammatory medication, and activity modification.
