Tendon repair (tenorrhaphy)

Tendon repair is a surgical procedure involving the suturing of a ruptured tendon in order to restore its continuity and function. It is mainly performed in acute ruptures, such as those of the Achilles tendon or shoulder tendons. The success of the procedure depends on early diagnosis and proper postoperative rehabilitation. A physiotherapy program follows to restore mobility and strength.
