Sciatic point

The ischial region refers to the area of the ischium, mainly the ischial tuberosity, which serves as a support point for the body during sitting. This area is the attachment site for muscles and tendons involved in the movement of the hip and thigh. Pain in the ischial region may be caused by injuries, tendon inflammation, prolonged pressure, or irritation of the surrounding tissues. Assessment is performed through clinical examination and, when necessary, imaging studies. Treatment depends on the underlying cause and may include reducing pressure on the area, physiotherapy, strengthening exercises, and appropriate rehabilitation.
