Infrapatellar (anserine) bursitis

Pes anserine bursitis is inflammation of the bursa on the medial (inner) side of the knee. It is usually caused by overuse or poor biomechanical loading. It presents with pain and tenderness in the area. It is common in athletes or individuals with osteoarthritis. Treatment includes rest, physiotherapy, and medication.
