Sacroiliitis

Sacroiliitis is inflammation of the sacroiliac joint. It causes pain in the lower back and pelvic region, which may radiate to the buttocks. It can be associated with inflammatory rheumatic diseases or infections. Diagnosis requires clinical evaluation and imaging studies. Treatment includes anti-inflammatory medication and management of the underlying cause.
