Rotator cuff tear
A rotator cuff tear involves the tendons that stabilize and move the shoulder joint. It can be partial or complete and may result from injury or degenerative wear. It causes pain, especially during elevation of the upper limb, and muscle weakness. It often significantly limits shoulder function in daily activities. Treatment ranges from physiotherapy to arthroscopic repair.
