Rheumatic stiffness

Rheumatic stiffness is the sensation of joint stiffness caused by rheumatic diseases. It is often more pronounced in the morning or after periods of inactivity. It is accompanied by pain and reduced range of motion. It is a characteristic symptom of inflammatory arthropathies. Treatment is based on medication and physiotherapy.
