Prosthetic limb
A prosthetic limb is an assistive device that replaces an amputated or congenitally missing upper or lower limb. It is designed to restore, as much as possible, the patient’s function and mobility. It can be a simple mechanical device or a modern electronic/bionic prosthesis with sensors and advanced control systems. It is made from lightweight and durable materials to ensure comfort and proper fit. The goal of a prosthesis is to improve the individual’s independence and quality of life.
