Piriformis muscle syndrome

A clinical condition in which the piriformis muscle, due to spasm, hypertrophy, or anatomical variations, irritates or compresses the sciatic nerve, resulting in pain in the buttock area and possible radiation along the lower limb. It is not related to spinal pathology.
