Osteoporotic fracture
An osteoporotic fracture is a bone fracture that occurs due to reduced bone density and strength caused by osteoporosis. Minimally invasive inpatient spinal treatment is also possible in cases of active osteoporosis with vertebral fractures. Once the diagnosis is established, patients are mobilized early with targeted injections near the affected vertebra, appropriate pain management (often with opioids), and immediate orthotic support. This allows them to regain basic daily functions, such as personal hygiene and eating with assistance. Even in active osteoporosis, the inpatient minimally invasive treatment program typically does not exceed 10 days.
