Osteochondral lesion

An osteochondral lesion involves damage to the articular cartilage and the underlying bone. It causes pain, swelling, and stiffness in the joint. It may result from trauma or degenerative processes. Management includes conservative treatment or surgical intervention, such as microfracture or implantation.
