Nerve root

A nerve root is the initial segment of a spinal nerve that exits the spinal cord through the intervertebral foramina of the spine. From there, the nerve continues toward the limbs and organs, transmitting sensory (feeling) and motor (movement) signals. Each nerve root corresponds to a specific area of the body.
