Neuropathic pain

Neuropathic pain is caused by damage or dysfunction of the nervous system. It is characterized by burning sensations, electric “shocks,” or numbness. It is not directly related to inflammation or soft tissue injury. Treatment may include medication, physical therapy, or neuromanagement techniques.
