Neural gliding
Neural gliding is the movement of a nerve within the surrounding soft tissues during joint motion. It is a normal mechanism that helps prevent injury. Pathologically, it can be restricted by adhesions or inflammation, causing pain. Specialized neurodynamic exercises improve gliding.
