The nervous system is the body’s control network, consisting of the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves. It is responsible for transmitting information, controlling movement, sensation, and organ function. Damage to the nervous system can cause pain, dysfunction, or neurological deficits. Assessment is performed clinically and through specialized tests.
