Nerve entrapment (nerve compression)

Nerve entrapment (nerve compression) is a condition in which a peripheral nerve is compressed or irritated by surrounding tissues such as muscles, tendons, bones, or ligaments. This pressure disrupts normal nerve function and causes pain, numbness (paresthesia), and weakness in the area supplied by the nerve.
