Myopathy

Myopathy is a general term describing diseases of the muscles that affect their structure and function. It causes muscle weakness, easy fatigue, and reduced muscular endurance. Myopathy can be hereditary or acquired, due to inflammation, metabolic disorders, medications, or other diseases. Symptoms vary depending on the cause and severity. Treatment depends on the underlying cause and may include medication and physical therapy.
