Meniscal perforation

A traumatic or degenerative tear of the meniscus that creates a hole in the tissue. It causes pain, swelling, and restricted knee movement. Diagnosis is made using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Treatment may be conservative or involve arthroscopic repair.
