Lipomatosis

Lipomatosis is a condition in which multiple lipomas appear in various areas of the body. Lipomas are benign tumors of fatty tissue. They may cause pressure or discomfort on adjacent structures. The etiology is often unknown or genetic. Treatment is mainly surgical when symptoms are present.
