Lymphadenitis (postoperative/traumatic)

Lymphadenitis is inflammation of the lymph nodes that may occur after surgery or trauma. It causes swelling, pain and tenderness in the area. It is usually associated with infection. Diagnosis is based on clinical presentation and examinations. Treatment includes antibiotics and treatment of the cause.
