Functional scoliosis

Functional scoliosis is a lateral deviation of the spine that is not due to a structural deformity. It is usually reversible and is associated with pain, muscular imbalance or leg length discrepancy. The spine does not present permanent changes. Treatment is aimed at addressing the cause. It often improves with physiotherapy.
