Laminotomy

Laminotomy is a surgical procedure in which part of the vertebral lamina is removed. The aim is decompression of neural structures in the spine. It is used in disc herniation or spinal stenosis. It improves neurological symptoms such as pain and numbness. Recovery depends on the underlying condition.
