Cranio-cervical instability or upper cervical degeneration

A pathological condition involving reduced stability or degenerative changes in the upper cervical structures (occiput, atlas, and axis), with disruption of normal kinematics and possible compression of neural or vascular elements. It may present with neck pain, headache, dizziness, and neurological symptoms.
