Knee instability syndrome

Knee instability syndrome is characterized by a feeling of “looseness” or giving way of the joint during movement. It is usually caused by ligament injuries, such as an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear. It leads to pain, difficulty walking, and reduced joint stability. Treatment includes physiotherapy or, in severe cases, surgical reconstruction.
