Zygomatic bone

The zygomatic bone is a bone of the facial skull that forms the contour of the zygomatic arch and part of the orbital cavity. It contributes to the structural stability of the face and the protection of underlying tissues. It articulates with adjacent bones such as the temporal bone and the maxilla. It is frequently involved in facial injuries.
