Posterior disc displacement

Occurs when the intervertebral disc protrudes backward toward the spinal canal. It causes nerve compression and may lead to lower back pain or sciatica. It may result from trauma or degenerative processes. Diagnosis is made with MRI, and treatment includes conservative or surgical approaches.
