Posterior disc protrusion

Refers to the backward bulging of the intervertebral disc without complete rupture. It may cause neurological symptoms and pain in the lower back or lower limbs. Early diagnosis and physiotherapy reduce the risk of worsening. Surgical intervention is required in severe cases.
