Cervical spine (cervical region)

The cervical spine is the upper part of the vertebral column and consists of seven vertebrae. It supports the weight of the head and allows a wide range of movements, such as rotation and flexion. At the same time, it protects the spinal cord and important nerves. It is particularly vulnerable to injuries and degenerative changes. Problems in this area may cause neck pain or radiating pain to the upper limbs. Proper posture is important for its health.
