Generalized musculoskeletal pain
Generalized musculoskeletal pain is the presence of pain affecting multiple areas of the musculoskeletal system, including muscles, joints, tendons, and bones. It may result from injuries, overuse, inflammatory conditions, degenerative changes, or disorders of neuromuscular function. It is often accompanied by stiffness, fatigue, reduced mobility, and difficulty performing daily activities. Assessment is based on medical history, clinical examination, and, when necessary, laboratory tests or imaging studies. Treatment is tailored to the underlying cause and may include physiotherapy, exercise, medication, and lifestyle modifications.
