Joint instability

Joint instability is a condition in which a joint does not properly maintain its normal position and movement, resulting in excessive or abnormal mobility. It can be caused by injury, degenerative changes, lax ligaments, or muscle weakness. It often leads to pain, a feeling of “instability,” and reduced joint functionality. Treatment includes physiotherapy, strengthening of surrounding muscles, use of a brace, or in severe cases, surgical stabilization.
