Joint hypermobility

Joint hypermobility is the increased mobility of a joint beyond its normal range, usually due to lax ligaments or muscle weakness. It can cause pain, a feeling of instability, and an increased risk of injury. Treatment includes strengthening of surrounding muscles and physiotherapy.
