Femoroacetabular impingement (FAI)

Femoroacetabular impingement is an abnormal contact between the femur and the acetabulum during hip movement. It causes pain and reduced range of motion. It is classified into CAM, Pincer, or mixed types. It mainly affects young and active individuals. Treatment may be conservative or surgical, depending on severity and symptoms.
