Facet joint infiltration (facet joint injection)

Injection of analgesic or anti-inflammatory medication into the facet joint for pain relief. It is used diagnostically and therapeutically in chronic pain of the lumbar or cervical spine. It provides temporary symptom reduction and guides further treatment.
