Dynamic osteosynthesis

A method of fracture stabilization that allows small movements to promote better bone formation (osteogenesis). It is mainly used with plates and screws, often in a locking system. It promotes physiological bone loading and reduces atrophy. It is an alternative to complete immobilization.
