Dislocation

Dislocation is a serious injury in which the bones of a joint lose their normal alignment and separate from each other. It usually occurs after a sudden force, fall, or twisting of the joint beyond its normal range of motion. Dislocation causes severe pain and makes the joint unusable or very difficult to use until it is put back into place.
