Discitis

Discitis is an infection of the intervertebral disc, usually caused by bacteria. It is often accompanied by osteomyelitis of the adjacent vertebrae, and is therefore commonly referred to as spondylodiscitis. It presents with severe spinal pain, restricted mobility, and sometimes fever.
