Denervation

The fascia is a broad, flat, and strong band of fibrous connective tissue. It is composed mainly of collagen and functions as an “extension” of tendons. Its role is to transmit forces, stabilize large muscle groups, and support body movement.
Unlike a tendon, which is rope-like, the fascia is flat like a membrane, allowing it to cover large surfaces and connect muscles to other anatomical structures.
