Degenerative osteoarthritis

Progressive degeneration of articular cartilage and subchondral bone. It is accompanied by pain, swelling, stiffness, and reduced range of motion. It commonly affects the knees, hips, and upper extremities. Treatment includes conservative management, physiotherapy, or joint replacement in advanced stages.
